There are very few people who are up as early as I am, particularly on a Sunday morning (except, perhaps, Andrew), but at about 7am, I saw the most beautiful moonset, due west as I drove to my favorite coffee shop in Glens Falls.

Because I was driving, I could not get a picture of it.  It was a large, full moon, on a grey-blue sky.  Because of the direction I was driving, I saw it clearly in the middle of the sky.  It was breathtaking and peaceful.  Even if I could have taken a picture, I’m sure it would not have done it justice.

As soon as it was there, it was gone.  On my way home from the coffee shop, the moon was not to my back, but I was driving into a lovely sunrise to the east.
